CR&DALL Director, Professor Michael Osborne, was delighted to present a keynote speech on 25 March 2021 to the International Congress on Curriculum and Instruction (ICCI-EPOK 2021).
In the twenty-first century non-professional tutors, including teenagers, have an important role to play in the development of contemporary skills among the older population. The aim of the seminar is to describe the instructional design for teenage tutors' instruction in order to prepare them to become a facilitator for older persons’ in e-skill learning.
The ISLLLE (International Symposium on Language, Linguistics, Literature and Education) 2020 conference will take place January 20-22, 2020 in Nagoya, Japan. The conference theme this year is: The Smart City and Impacts of the Internet on Education. Paper Submission Deadline is Oct. 23, 2019.
Globally, the urban population is expected to grow by 63% between 2014 and 2050 – compared to an overall global population growth of 32% during the same period.
The seminar examines the experiences of women working with digital technology, from academic and practitioner standpoints.
Digital learning media open up new and different opportunities for learning and teaching. It is important that these opportunities are open to those who do not enjoy privileged access to education, including refugees and migrants and people with low levels of basic education.
The recent PASCAL and PIMA report on Good Active Ageing, which I edited with Denise Reghenzani Kearns, discussed the implications of the convergence of the demographic and technological revolutions. The demographic revolution with ageing populations is occurring at a time when revolutionary changes in digital technologies associated with artificial intelligence, robotics and biotechnologies are impacting on society with this impact certain to increase. How soon superintelligence arrives is a matter of lively discussion.
The 16th International Conference on Higher Education Reform (HER 2019) - Digital Society and Higher Education: Impact and Consequences for Policy - will be hosted by the Department of Educational Research, Center for Research and Advanced Studies in Mexico City on September 11-13, 2019. This is the first call for proposals.
