On behalf of the EAN, I would like to express a huge appreciation of everyone who took part in the first ever World Congress on Access to Post-Secondary Education in Montreal last week. We hope your participation in the congress was successful and that it led to many new contacts, exciting project ideas and partnerships.
Despite demanding weather and travel conditions in Scotland, we were delighted to have been able to run the second EcCoWell conference successfully in Glasgow on 5 December.
A full report, all presentations and some videos of the event will be published in due course. See below for attachments of those we have received to date.

Throughout the world, but particularly in developing countries, poor people do not have access to legal information and advice and therefore lack access to justice. While the rich buy the services of a lawyer, the poor cannot. This booklet describes a project of the Active Learning Centre, which is hosted by CR&DALL that has established rights advice and information centres in two areas in Malawi, Mangochi and Dedza and is piloting ways of delivering outreach services in rural areas.
The ICAE Academy of Lifelong Learning Advocacy (IALLA) is an international training course on advocacy that intends to give emerging leaders in the field of adult education and social movements, the opportunity to acquire the skills to advocate for the right to adult learning and education and to consolidate ICAE as a global network committed to that end. This international course was held for the first time in 2004, in Norway, and since then, a total of six editions have taken place in Africa, Europe and Latin America.
